Sculpture to Statue with Public Support
Sculptress Joel has created a dramatic, characterful, life-sized goose sculpture that deserves to be brought to life. Unfortunately, after months of work, the client who commissioned the piece has had to withdraw from the project due to unforeseen circumstances.
Rather than see this wonderful sculpture remain unfinished, we’re asking for your help.

Let me tell you that this life-sized Goose began as an exciting commissioned artwork. Weeks of designing, sculpting and refining every feather, curve and expression have brought it to the stage where it is feathers away from being ready for the next chapter.
Sadly, circumstances beyond anyone’s control have changed that story. The client who commissioned the piece had to withdraw, leaving the sculpture without the funding needed to complete the mould and casting process.
Rather than allowing months of creative work to remain unfinished, I have decided to ask for your help.

Why this Goose matters
This isn’t simply a sculpture of a goose.
It’s a celebration of character, humour and craftsmanship. Created entirely by hand, every detail has been carefully modelled in clay to give the sculpture personality and presence. My hope has always been that it would become a piece that people smile at, photograph, talk about and enjoy for many years.
With your support, that can still happen.
It has been a long and challenging process so far and I know the Goose Statue can be an inspiration for stories and fun

The next stages are highly specialised and essential:
- Professional mould making
- Casting the sculpture
- Preparing the finished artwork for installation
- Giving the Goose the opportunity to find its permanent public home
These are a costly part of producing a sculpture, but they are also the stages that transform a clay original into a lasting artwork.
The vision
My dream is for this Goose to become a sculpture that people can visit—a piece installed in a public space, sculpture garden, visitor attraction, nature reserve, country park or community venue where it can be enjoyed by thousands of people.
Supporters won’t simply be helping finish a sculpture—they’ll be helping launch its journey into the world.
