London Art Biennale Success – Sculptress JOEL Selected Sculpture

Touching the Moon – Chosen by the judging panel for the London Art Biennale 2025

Celebrating Wildlife, the wonder of the seasons and marvel of migration – House Martins (Delichon Urbicum) make astonishing journeys from Africa to build homes with us in the UK, as our Summer visitors – Yet they need attention and value.

Joel has achieved a beautiful and detailed Bronze sculpture of House Martins in flight, sprung from a Crescent Moon. The bronze base of the moon has a unique application of fused glass, glittering like moonlit water. Below seen on the table at Beaulieu. And for this special bronze sculpture by Joel at the London Art Biennale 2025 this is now fixed on a dark stone base with threads of white.

A Beautiful feature for home or office and making a meaningful gift, such an artwork is timeless and uplifting. You can see more examples of sculptures for interiors or contact JOEL for something unique and bespoke.

What hope
As flies for safety
Comes certain as this lovers kiss
Moonrise and sunrise
Be sure of this
Haven
Touching the Moon by Joel Walker

Let’s keep making homes and havens for wildlife – and even as we do – improve out mental wellbeing.

For this artist birds like House Martins link to stories and messages of love, faithfulness and finding a home. She is developing the theme of ‘Birds Without Borders’ to remind us that birds and other animals on land and in seas are a shared experience and inspiration – as the House Martins’ skies reach from Northern Europe to South Africa.

Shared Earth, Shared Air, Shared Water
